Volunteer at…School of Louise’s Dreams

Nagarote, Nicaragua: July 2011

If you believe in the power and promise of education, School of Louise’s Dreams (La Escuela Sueños de Luisa) is looking for you. One of the only Montessori-based elementary schools focused on impoverished children in Nicaragua, a trip to Sueños de Luisa offers an incredible learning experience to both new and veteran teachers.

Give back, and learn yourself, while experiencing the marvels of Nicaraguan scenery in the small, quaint town of Nagarote. Gain first-hand understanding of the Nicaraguan education system, and how your outside perspective can be a resource for both the students and teachers. The option of language immersion classes will also be available on this trip.

Organized by The Right to Learn, a non-profit organization that benefits School of Louise’s Dreams, this trip will lead a group of teachers to Nagarote for trips of both one and two weeks to learn Spanish while volunteering in the school. Other trip highlights include a school fiesta and tours of local sites.

Accommodations will be comfortable, and pre-arranged by The Right to Learn. Each volunteer will have access to air conditioning and laundry services, all while experiencing the incredible Nicaraguan culture and surroundings.

Cost of this trip package will be $699 per week. This cost includes accommodations, two meals a day, ground transportation, and activity and sightseeing costs.
